Cutler was very safe with his passes tonight (all but the last one). No doubt under strict orders to check down if there was any doubt. And I believe that's why he overthrew all his deep passes -- again, under orders for no INTs, no matter what. Basically, they looked like last year's Bears tonight...

Anyone watch the Houston/Tennessee game?

I didn't care either way, but Houston got screwed by some of the worst officiating I've seen in a long time. The horse collar call near the end was awful. And on the Texans' final drive, there was a shot of a Titan dragging the Texans WR by his legs after the play... wtf was that? But no penalty...

Roethlisberger has so far passed post-concussion tests. Will play if cleared. But backup Charlie Batch broke his left wrist and is out 2-4 wks, so 2nd-yr player Dennis Dixon is next in line. Yikes.

I saw Finnegan pull on the Houston guy's legs long after the whistle on that final drive. And I've seen that called as unsportsmanlike conduct more than once.

I was just glad that game didn't go into OT. One of my FF teams was holding onto a slim lead and my opponent had Schaub, AJohnson and CJohnson. Led by nearly 80 going into the game and won by less than 8.

And the NFL has brought us their normal slate of boring games. Green Bay vs Detroit and Oakland vs Dallas.
At least the late game with the Giants and Denver might be interesting.

I'm OK with that. Just relaxing today, and gives me a chance to see a few teams I rarely bother with. Plus, it won't bother me to be called away when the feast appears. So in a way, it's something to be thankful for.

But I'm bummed that I was about two minutes late getting Calvin Johnson into my lineup.

Drove to my mom's. Turned on the Lions game when I got there - surprised to see the Lions up 7-0. After dinner turned the game back on, Lions still had 7, Packers 27. That was more like it.

Then they failed to score from the 1, threw 3 passes. And a Packer fumbled in the end zone, Lions recovered! But upon review, his elbow was down, it was just a safety.

This season Comcrap added the NFL Network. I hadn't watched NFL Replay before, but I did last night, when they showed the Browns-Lions game. Profound lack of defense. Stafford was wired up, heard him crying out in pain when he got planted. He heard the time out announced, said he could get back in, help him up, he could throw a pass. And he went back in and threw the winning TD. Gutsy.

Speaking of Stafford, I wonder if there has ever been a QB who went from 5 TDs to 4 INTs in successive games. Then again, you can't play the Browns every week.
