With Colorado leaving, this makes the rumors of the Pac 16 look more and more true:

With USC being knocked down a few pegs, the prospect of being the undisputed top dog in the Pac-16(?) has to be appealing to Texas..."My nation is the world, and my religion is to do good." --Thomas Paine

I was thinking the same thing. With six former Big 12 teams in the new Pac-16, Texas would actually have greater voting power than it did in 1996 when it brought four SWC teams into the Big 8. How much do you want to bet that the Pac-10's current requirement for unanimous consent on conference decisions doesn't make it into the Pac-16 bylaws?KH FOR OWNER!

I don't know why. The Pac 10 doesn't get nearly as much nationwide coverage as conferences to the East. The Big 12 gets plenty of exposure.
By the way, it's a shame that USC is being taken down a few pegs. I would have wished ND to beat USC without the Trojans being down a few men. . This isn't good at all for the rivalry. It's best when all of the national championship consequences are on the line.I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

What's amazing is that Oregon just dismissed their star QB, and Michigan just rejected their 5-star DB recruit (apparently against RR's wishes), and no one is talking about it. This **** is crazy."My nation is the world, and my religion is to do good." --Thomas Paine

I didn't know the backstory wrt the Michigan DB. Shows the pitfalls of relying on recruiting rankings when not all players that are signed actually show up on campus.I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. Reis: stop acting like a moron. The NCAA doesn't award college football titles.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
