AHL- Apolyton Hockey League 09/10: Preseason

In about an hour I'll be unable to have access to a computer for about 7-8 hours. Thursdays are my worst days of the week (3 1.5 hour classes and a 3 hour lab. The lab could be shorter than that though...)

ya a list would be a good idea-- leave it with say asher and me-- we both seem to be perpetually present

Leave a list with either:
* The person picking immediately after you, except where that's also the person picking before you (in your case)
* Someone on the other end of the draft, ie, me, Flubber, etc., who's on all the time

I am always available for lists, and if you put DO NOT READ UNTIL MY PICK in the title I won't read it ahead of time.

Well if you'd rather not, don't, but there's no adverse impact . If you haven't decided on alternates you could just send your two picks-- At this stage its probably a decent chance the picks won't duplicate with what the next two guys choose

It's far easier to replace scoring from the free agent pool than it is to nab goaltenders from the free agent pool.

Quite right. If you are in trouble with your goaltenders, you have very big problems, as you cannot easily pick and choose replacements off the waiver wire. Limited supply means you need to grab a consistent one quickly.

I agree with this but the flip side is that every year there is a good goalie or two that is briefly on the waiver wire-- Last year it was clemmenson-- The year before Gerber save my ass . Guaranteed this year there will be a good goalie option arise-- the only problem is being fast enough to recognize the situation and snap them up

Joncha IMHO don't worry about it-- You had the turn for only 3 hours at a time when our North American clock would have only been getting started. To participate while in Korea-- I'd give a lot of leeway

With 12 teams, only one or two good goalies on the waiver wire isn't exactly conforting .

Nope--Most people want to have two good goalies to start so that a single injury doesn't kill the categories. Ans as a 12 team league there should be a couple extra out there compared to last years 14 team league
