  • What was the TV coverage like in your region?.

    The major swimming and athletic events were covered well, but here I found if there was a British competitor doing well and who had previous good form, the event was well covered.

    There was reasonably coverage of established traditional events. But some sports received little coverage.

    The years when Daley Thompson, (GB) ruled the decathelon, the coverage of that event was massive.

    Personally I tried to watch as many sports as possible, including archery. Did you see the bows those people have?

    Endurance sports, except the marathons, seemed to me to receive less coverage.

            We got a silver with Wendy Houvenaghel in the women's individual, indoor cycling pursuit under UK.

            and Paddy Barnes, a bronze under Ireland in boxing.
