I think if we would have played NL first and France last we would have, but meh, they didn't call it the Group of Death for nothing. We'd have probably lost to Spain anyway.

After a draw there are two 15 minutes periods to be played. If there is no winner after that it goes on to penalties.

Yes, they're out. No, they won Euro 2004, but as complete outsiders, shocking themselves as much as everyone else in the world: they never accomplished anything before (qualified for only 1 EC and 1 WC before in their entire history, in both cases not surviving the group stage) and likely won't again for a very, very long time to come (e.g. they failed to even qualify for the last World Cup in a relatively easy group). They were at the time (in '04) and remain until this day about as likely to win a major tournament as the New York Jets are to win a Super Bowl (and I say that as a non-delusional Jets fan )

Not by a long stretch. Group C is the most obvious: the Netherlands suck balls right now and would be lucky to get ANY points (especially with both Robben and Van Persie injured), and Romania is pretty decent (better than they've been in years) but not good enough to beat France or Italy. Unless Van Basten can produce a miracle and completely turn the team around in a few days, the only question is going to be who will win the group between France and Italy.

Actually I think Sweden goes through if it's a tie, on goal difference.

Hmmm, I thought I had already posted my own predictions but I don't see them now. So:

Greece vs Spain 0-2
Russia vs Sweden 1-2

Hueij is explaining about the playoffs. Tomorrow, yes, Sweden goes through in case of a draw because they lost to Spain by a smaller margin than the Russians.
