  • Good deal for the Chargers, IMO. The recieving corps was a bit of a disappointment so far.

      • The Bucs had to do something. Cadillac gone, and now Pittman out for a couple months. RBs going down like flies.

                • And have recievers who can't catch .

And yet, there are probably still people who think it was all Vick's fault last year . How he took this team (which seems to have more offensive talent in the other skill positions this season) to 7-9, I have no idea.

                    • Why are you trolling the ancient Vick saga? No one cares.

As for your parenthetical comment: Skill positions look like the same guys to me -- Roddy White, Alge Crumpler, same RBs. Or do you mean the addition of the ancient Joe Horn and rookie Laurent Robinson? They've got 12 and 11 catches, respectively, and have combined for 0 scores.

A new coach, new offensive system, and abandoning the zone blocking scheme that helped make them the NFL's leading rushing team, plus letting an excellent FB walk: It all indicated -- long before the legal issues -- that this would be a rebuilding year in Atlanta, with or without Vick.

Personally, I don't blame Vick for the 7-9 season in '06. In fact, it could have been worse, given how their defense rolled into a fetal position at times. Would Vick have made '07 a better season for the Falcons?

                      Doesn't matter. It's a moot point.

Cause I was right . Perhaps you weren't the one making the arguments, but I can tell you for certain Slowwy was.

Yet bring far more talent to the squad. The fact that the offensive line is bad and they also drop passes doesn't diminish that they augment the receiving corps. And if you extrapolate the 12 and 11 catches over the season, that would have compared well to the catches of the receiving corps last season.

Rebuilding is one thing, this... well, this is entirely another. Besides, one of the main reasons the team was the NFL's leading rushing team was the wheels of Vick. In addition they replaced the excellent FB very nicely with the addition of Mughelli, who used to be the starting FB in Baltimore.

Something is wrong, blame Sloww. This is getting ridiculous.

Cowboys are going to smoke the Vikings. Bank it.
They can stop the running game and Minnesota is no New England when it comes to passing.

                              • Of course its a fair argument . You may have to actually admit you may have been wrong about Vick being the problem in Atlanta. You kept pumping up the receivers, saying it was Vick's fault and Jenkins was a good receiver (when this year shows how utterly crap he is at catching the ball), etc.
