And yes, notice the differences. In one, a player is charging Tootoo and Tootoo whacks him. In the other a player is down and defenceless as Langkow holds his head and smokes him with an uppercut.

I know the differences I see. I know that if Tootoo deserved 5 games, Langkow deserved far more.

I think one thing that factored into it was Lebda just tried to intentionally injure Langkow with that illegal hit. Eye for an eye and all that.

I also saw a lot of **** from Detroit throughout the series, and a LOT worse **** from Detroit from '04 that intentionally caused very severe injuries to Calgary players.

Which is why it irks me when Detroit fans take a holier-than-thou attitude.

Ladies and gentlemen, today's game was beyond embarrassing. The play is bad enough -- it was just bad hockey. But towards the end of the game, when it descended into goonery, thuggary, and downright unsportsmanlike behaviour, I was completely ashamed of my team.
