Like it or not, Soccer/Football WILL eventually be the biggest sport in the USA.

No it won't, unless the beaners take over. Football is king and will be for the forseeable future, for obvious reasons. As a child you're given a football as soon as you can throw one, you play in school, as soon as school finishes you're out in the park playing again until it gets dark and on weekends you're playing for your local team. It's ingrained in a way I don't think most Brits even begin to understand, most boys/men have played competitively at some level, everyone has a team they support.

Supposedly the Los Angeles Kings are playing in both. The Anaheim Ducks (= one of the best teams in the league) is one of the other teams, I think.

According to multiple league sources, the Los Angeles Kings will open next season with a pair of games at The O2 in London. The O2 is a state-of-the-art arena scheduled to open with a series of Justin Timberlake concerts in early July. It is operated by Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG), which also owns the Kings.

L.A. will open its London swing with an exhibition contest before the two regular-season games. The Ducks and Canucks are two teams believed to be in the running to accompany the Kings to Great Britain.

This won't be the first time the league sent a pair of teams overseas to open the regular season. The Ducks and Canucks opened the 1997-98 season with a pair of games in Tokyo, Japan. A season later, the Sharks and Flames also traveled to Tokyo to begin the season.

The league is expected to make a formal announcement by early March.

They will, and when that happens, US sports that consistently fail Internationally will slowly die without home support. While Soccer/Football only continues to grow everywhere.

China is already mobilising for World Cup domination. I suggest you do the same, before its too late.
