Yeah, unfortunately it doesn't apply to the players - only to the fans. I mean, if we played as if every game was a Mackem derby then we'd be doing a hell of a lot better than we are. True, most of the players would be knackered by the end of November, but it would be good for we fans to watch.

Well, nobody cares about Germany, but anyway: WTF is going on with Hamburger SV? They were a favourite at the start of the season, but instead they were barely able to muster any wins and got themselves in the relegation zone. Total meltdown. And then, all of a sudden, their engine bolts and they go on to beat Werder Bremen (#3) and Schalke 04 (#1) on away games. They've now won 4 games in a row (total wins this season: 5) and climbed to the 11th spot.

Well, they did fire their head coach and hire Huub Stevens, which started off their winning run. Not that Stevens is such a genius, but sometimes it only takes 1 bad element to bring down a team (especially if it's the coach)...Originally posted by Colon™

Also, it's a very close competition to begin with: the difference between the number last and the number 9 is only 7 points. So it doesn't take much to advance through the table.Comment
