Yes and all gays are figure skaters or hairdressers, all Albertans are Rednecks, all Frenchmen are Anti-Canadian and all hockey players are just below the level of intelligence of neandrathal man.
I know this to be true because I know a french gay hockey player from Alberta and he is all of these therefore all of them must be too.
Like any generalization, all cops are not jerks, nor do I suspect is the entire OPP corrupt.
But perhaps we can stick to hockey?
Plenty of jerks and idiots in the NHL without having to make generalizations on those we depend on for our public safety and who put their lives on the line on a daily basis to protect joe public.

I'm pretty sure the OPP have a flag in their database for me, 'cause in september I filed a complaint against them about abuse of power.Golfing since 67

The people going 100km/h on that road are a danger to traffic. I see cops all the time going 130km/h with the flow, as do almost all 18 wheelers. It's ridiculous."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

Back to hockey
I am not overly optimistic about the Flames chances tonight for three reasons.
1. They play Anaheim in Anaheim
2. The word this morning is that Zuyzin and Hamrlik are out for sure and that Warrener is possible and he is very unlikely. Thats 3 of the Flames top 6 dmen including 2 of the top 4. While I like Giordano, Regehr #2 and Ference #2 a lot and believe them to be capable enough to play in the NHL against most teams, see point 1. Hamrlik in particular has been the FLames top d-man for most of the season so his loss will be felt.
3. because of 1 and 2, I am not certain that the Flames are mentally prepared to fight it out for this one. I was listening to local sports radio and the Flames reporter was talking about how "under the circumstances", the coaching staff would probably be pleased with a good effort even if it came up short. I sincerely hope that that is the reporter's thoughts and not the way the players are thinking . .. . If they go in thinking it is ok to lose, they will probably lose.
On the flip side, Kipepr has been merely "good" for a few games. It may very well be that he comes up with a spectacular effort and steals a game. Or perhaps the Flames use the above factors for inspiration and ride the underdog attitude to victoryYou don't get to 300 losses without being a pretty exceptional goaltender.-- Ben Kenobi speaking of Roberto Luongo

Oh and on the ticket
If I'm doing 30 over and get caught, thats just the way it goes-- IT is 30 over . . ..
But if I am doing 30 over and get pulled over WHILE people were whipping by me at 50-60 km/h over the speed limit . . . thats offensive. The cops should be pulling over the most reckless out there.
Unfortunately if you were actually doing 30 over, the fact that other people were speeding more is NOT a defense. You don't get to 300 losses without being a pretty exceptional goaltender.-- Ben Kenobi speaking of Roberto Luongo

Oh and what about those Blackhawks-- 6-1-3 in their last 10 games (2nd best in the league) and just outside a playoff spot. If those NW division teams don't watch out, there may be only TWO NW teams making the playoffs
ANAHEIM*
2 NASHVILLE*
4 SAN JOSE
5 DETROIT
6 DALLAS
Since those 5 are winning almost 2 games in 3, lets assume that they will all make the playoffs. That leaves 3 spots for the NW division and anyone else.
As it stands now though its just the NW division and Chicago. Columbus could come back into the mix but I believe they lost too much early and while they may play well, there will be 3 teams out of the other 6 that will not be 10 points worse than them over the rest of the seasonYou don't get to 300 losses without being a pretty exceptional goaltender.-- Ben Kenobi speaking of Roberto Luongo

Oh ya and Toronto is nominally back into a playoff spot. They are just crazy fun to watch though-- Its just one big high wire act. Any given game, you don't know if they will do a triple somersault or splat but you know it should be interesting.
Ottawa continues its multiple personality disorder. Goaltending is still a huge issue for them but they continue to win against some tough teams from time to time. They are keeping close enough that I still think they will make it to the playoffs.
Montreal -- wooohooooooo-- They now have the second most points in the east. They are an interesting team. One game they dominate, then they get dominated but the goalie steal one for them, then they run and gun to a win. I'm not sure about what exactly they are but as a long-time Habs fan, they keep pleasing me by winning -- so its all goodYou don't get to 300 losses without being a pretty exceptional goaltender.-- Ben Kenobi speaking of Roberto Luongo

The WEST
Calgary--- good effort in Vancouver before recording a solid win in Phoenix. Tonight Anaheim is tough and then into LA tomorrow. If they are 2-2 four games into the trip I will be happy and anything more would be cause for celebration.
Edmonton-- hot then cold then hot then cold-- There record lately-- 5 straight wins, then 3 losses, then 3 straight wins then lose 3 of 4. I believe they are good enough to make the playoffs . I do question their d but fundamentally that group of forwards HAS to be good enough to win
Vancouver-- On a 3 game win streak but they haven't really impressed all that much on that streak. They now head on the road for 4 games and its tough to overstate how important this trip will be to them. Luongo is looking awesome again but the unfortunate thing for Vancouver is that he has to be. They are like the Flames of last year . . .You don't get to 300 losses without being a pretty exceptional goaltender.-- Ben Kenobi speaking of Roberto Luongo
