I don't hope that this will their fate, but if it will in fact turn out that way, I find it very sad. Seriously, I'd feel sorry with their admins since they tried it really hard to make it, so I'll simply hope the best for them.

Half of me would feel sorry for them if such a thing came to pass but the other half of me would be gloating that they were proved wrong in their claims that we evil OT posters were some how responsible for the decline in On Topic posters.

I think it is very clear that the reason fewer people have been going to Civ sites is that there hasn't been a decent new Civ release in years so few new people are interested in joining Civ fan sites. It's as simple as that.
