The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.
25 themes/skins/styles are now available to members. Check the select drop-down at the bottom-left of each page.

But hey, he runs a new civ site now. His partner in crime is Locutus, who also abused his power against me about a year ago and was forced to apologize (though not to the same extreme as Dale).
Winning combo for a sane admin...

Yes, I realize these comments are in the wrong thread-
I've been out of it, but this is all pretty ****ed. This was a good site for a while, when I first lurked and joined, 2001-2003, it was pretty interesting, but these recent changes are pretty sad. It really was downhill after Markos quit.
Regarding the new site, I don't know who would register with any identifiable information (which would include even an ip address hit) with a website run by a nutjob like Dale, who, from what I've read, has demonstrated an utter lack of integrity and maturity, both of which are required to operate a legitimate forum, at least in my book.
Dude, if more than half of all Christians in the U.S. support torture, I think that says something about their morals, especially if torture isn't defined, meaning that the actual number of torture supporters is under reported.
I dont know if by "dude" you are refering to me but I'll take it as such.
I agree that it's a legitimate question and thread topic. After the spate of Kenobi-baiting that has been ongoing lately (which I believe you regularly participate in) I simply doubt that the question was as much philosophical as it was tormenting.

So, in effect, anyone registering and posting on WePlayCiv is condoning death threats...

That's actually very well put.
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Apparently some obvious things must be made clear.
I am not going to censor any view or opinion that's against my views, opinions or beliefs. I don't want to do that and even if I would, I'm not stupid.
If I delete posts, I do so because they contain personal attacks or flames to other members, especially in On Topic Forums.
Apolyton has 1000+ active members and thousands of potential active members.
We are going to work towards civ5, if it ever will be released, which may bring in thousands of new members too.
We do value every current active member, but no member should get the idea that his presence is of major importance to Apolyton. Apolyton is always bigger then any individual member (also bigger then Robert or Jeroen).
I'm trying to be mild towards offenders (KH only got a 24 hour ban!) and reasonable to arguments. But members who are clearly not here to add to the site, but only to satisfy their own desires for attention and fights, will certainly be removed if they do not mellow down and continue to hurt Apolyton or the community in general.
Our first attempt will be to keep Apolyton on it's current track while improving it's content and appearance.
If that'll fail, don't think that we'll shy away from taking totally different tracks to achieve our goals, which in the end is: make apolyton ready for the possible release of civ5, ready for new members, much content and information, offered in very good ways.

You probably shouldn't have posted this. You had just garnered good will from posters with your other threads, and now you're providing further uncertainty again if not veiled threats.

You really shouldn't delete any posts unless there's something inherently obscene about its content (ie. porn, tubgirl). If a personal attack crosses the line, ban the poster and leave the post so people understand why the ban happened.
