just because you're born here doesn't give you the right to do whatever your pathetic sold out mind tells you to do with the acropolis. you can't whore her out and that's exactly what the gov did to that batista gremlin.
you have to give the podium and the vast significance that holds worldwide to people that serve the ancient athenian ideals and that excludes uneducated mafia gremlin *******s

I'm sick of our countries still being so sycophantic to these blatant fascists. Close their bases and kick them the f**k out. No more support.

i feel exactly the same way be that the greek gov or the english king or the vonder lain of the european commission.

it's sad. only france germany and well virtually all of scandinavia, well and belgium oh and holland, well there are a lot of countries that they don't bend backwards but some that are.

i'm sure the fools think that it benefits them as well to play cozy with those american freak show dumbarses sahme of humanity. but it will come back to bite them in the ass.

however europe is nowhere even near to have military emancipation, most don't even want it.

Yeah, and the US regime is an existential threat to us all. And the excuses are pathetic. If Canada has the backbone to start to break away despite their heavy trade integration with the US then a coordinated Europe has no damn excuse. Especially as the US is now a pariah and everyone is looking for alternatives. From Europe to Brazil to Japan to Canada to Australia there is opportunity there for us to do better without the US siphoning everything off. But it requires will, ambition and a vision.

mainly it will require defence spending. lots of it. Doing things purely to spite the US government will do jack to ween Europe away from dependence on the US.

It's not like America is doing anything to mend the rift.

                          you couldn't be more wrong

                          finance is a minor thing.

the first obstacle (and the minor of the two) is lack of homogenuity in the defense systems. something that also plagues NATO but to a lesser degree and it is alo what allows russia to punch way above its financial height

the first and mot important obstacle is lack of political will. and that is very difficult to overcome because it is at the core of national sovereignity.

there are very different perspectives. and very different perceivied threats among european countries.

it's not impossible though. actually a lot is being done to eventually just have a single european army with a unified command. but I'm not 100% sure it will be a step towards peace at large

Could you further explain how anything in your post illustrates how I could not be more wrong?

The problem is political (lack of integration, difficult joint programs), not financial.
