There's a lot of work still to do to achieve a pan-European force as effective as it could be, but there aren't many capabilities that Europe doesn't have right now that would be lost if the US leaves NATO that directly affect European security.

Being able to invade Iraq and Afghanistan were overall negatives to Europe, never mind the current boondoggle with Iran.
