To be fair, Moscow has one hell of a temperature range...30C+ temperatures aren't exactly uncommon there in the summer, in the same way as less than -20C isn't...Originally posted by Serb View PostWelcome to our club, suckers, we had over +30C for a two weeks from now and this sh!t still goes on.

I wonder though what liquid might be appropriate for mad monk's ill conceived idea of summer in the middle of the world.
If you were cleopatra I'd say it's evidently donkey's milk. That's documented
if you are bryan johnson maybe the blood of freshly slaughtered virgins seeing as his quest is to live for ever and have smooth skin

There's also a lot more A/C in Algeria than in Svalbard.Originally posted by Bereta_Eder View PostI have my A/C on because it's hot,
also there was a map percetnage of homes with A/C
Greece 85% (highest in the continent)
UK 5%
(germany slightly better but not much )

Also, today is 23°C, so I wouldn't have the AC on even if I had one.Indifference is Bliss

We don't generally need it. And have you seen the cost of electricity here in the UK, it is f**ked. So we just have to cook I'm afraid, especially as our buildings are very effective at keeping warm but utterly lousy as being cool.Originally posted by Bereta_Eder View PostI have my A/C on because it's hot,

I saw this at the comments of a british paper and it surprised me. The cost of electrocity is not so big because the A/C technology has aadvanced so much in energy efficieny plus if you use it like it should be used (not open windows/doors etc) it's really not big of a difference. The bill ws just 10 euros more and I used it 1/3 of the time in summer. about the buildings not being able to "Accomodate" A/C (thick walks etc I dom't know. I also read something about stupid laws that prohibit instalation of A/C.Originally posted by Provost Harrison View Post

But they literaly do save lives. Noone in Greece had A/C before the '80s. And then a deadly heat wave happened and everyone started to stock up.
The climate IS changing and the new normal is always hotter
