        On a note vaguely related to Greece and poetry, I like how the Synaxarion entry on any given saint-of-the-day nearly always includes a pun on their name in verse. These puns utterly fail to translate but sometimes I know enough Greek roots to get it anyway. The rest of the time it just sounds like a really tortured analogy that doesn't make sense, but I know that if I knew more Greek I would spot the pun for sure.
