There does seem to be a single common vector in all TDS cases. I think, maybe, Donald Trump is the viral reservoir

Trump is an incredible grifter. He does not create wealth, but is an expert at transferring wealth from others to himself. See his past: https://www.washingtonpost.com/busin...b54_story.html. Now, he has the opportunity to transfer the wealth of the US tax payer to himself. During his first term, he passed a huge tax break for owners of Real Estate Investment Trusts. Accordingly, I transferred a decent chunk of my investments to REITs. Now, he is promoting crypto to create huge wealth for himself from all those buying up crypto. After the latest election, I put a bunch of money into MSTY and have been collecting huge dividends ever since. His TACO announcements have created big, but predictable swings in the stock market. Since, I can't be bothered to day trade anymore, I have just been holding through the ups and downs.

So, while Trump has been bad for the economy, one can profit handsomely from his predictable, self-serving behavior. I suppose I should thank all the MAGAs like MWHC for funding my early retirement, but mainly I just feel pity for their descent into self delusion.

compare these investment options that represent things Trump actually invests in and has financial exposure to, to a list of companies most enthusiastically boycotted and opposed in opposition to Trump:

Tesla Inc. (TSLA) – Protesters have targeted Tesla due to Elon Musk’s role in the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which has led to federal agency cuts.

Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) – Amazon has faced boycotts over its perceived alignment with Trump’s policies, particularly regarding DEI rollbacks.

Meta Platforms Inc. (META) – Meta has been criticized for policy changes that align with Trump’s administration, leading to consumer backlash.

Target Corp. (TGT) – Target’s decision to remove some DEI programs has prompted a 40-day consumer boycott.

Walmart Inc. (WMT) – Walmart has faced criticism for reversing DEI policies, leading to calls for consumer boycotts.

Not much overlap. I think perhaps these efforts are barking up the wrong tree if they want to inflict even the slightest damage on Trump financially.

Now that we know how to motivate him (other than $$$$$), what next? How about, "Musk is mocking and undermining you. He isn't really an real American - you should have ICE pick him up... unless you're CHICKEN!"
So apparently Trump is threatening to cancel Musk's government contracts now.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

What would it take for the GOP to recognize that this guy will turn on any ally like a rabid dog for the slightest verbal "disloyalty" to himself personally? If only they would, I think a second term impeachment could proceed to being thrown out of office with breath taking speed. Vance may or may not be as bad but he surely is less entrenched politically and as far as I know none of the catastrophic stupidities of the second term originated with Vance rather than from Trump.

So, considering my TACO post the other day, and how tRump and Musk are now bashing each other, do Elon and tRump both read 'Poly OT? Ming?
Also, what we are seeing is proof that women are too emotional for the presidency...

We all have to deal with it. We don't have to like it.
Interesting that you don't actually defend him these days, but just engage in some occasional fly-by trolling. Which lost any semblence of cleverness or insight long ago.

People voted for auto-penning puppets. Use the same standard.
