That is language tuned very precisely to cater to people with racist beliefs. He's filled his administration with outspoken white supremacists. There are thugs with guns rounding up anyone who doesn't look right. And now he's building a concentration camp. I am absolutely done with this, "Um actually, Hitler only promised to make Germany strong again by dealing with evil financiers and bankers" bull****. The writing was on the ****ing wall, and many of us have been pointing to the writing and yelling about it for a long time now, and it is beyond infuriating to see it all start to come to pass and have people still tsk tsking whether we perfectly recited the writing on the wall. Focus on what really matters here before you find yourself in the middle of a genocide going "now now republicans make good points about economic anxiety."
"Let's tone down the rhetoric" does not equate at all to "let's not exaggerate" and especially not to "let's not make **** up". You claim that when Trump says something that can be paraphrased as promising "mass deportation of dirty, violent illegals invading our country from Latin America" that what he's really promising is to "deport all of the brown people" and want to deflect criticism of that claim as being criticism that equates to some kind of "let's tone down the rhetoric" appeal to be dispassionate about these gravest of issues and even worse as some kind of disingenuous and insincere "game" trying I guess to score empty rhetorical points and deflect from the real issues.

What possible good does it do to characterize trump as promising to deport all of the brown people even if we accept your premise that we have evidence that "He's filled his administration with outspoken white supremacists." and that "There are thugs with guns rounding up anyone who doesn't look right" and that "now he's building a concentration camp." this will obviously not require that he has ever promised in any amount of words to "deport all of the brown people". If ever he says something to that effect that will actually matter and whenever he says something disavowing such sentiments that matters as well, to the extent that words matter at all.

I don't want everyone to "tone down the rhetoric damnit." I want people to try to be more clear about when they are speculating and when they are passing along actual facts. The longer the major Trump opposition goes on demonstrably making **** up about this man the longer we will have to wait for them to have any credibility and the longer it takes for them to have any credibility the longer it's going to take for them to provide any meaningful resistance to him.

Just stop with the "hmm let's sit down and parse out what Trump really means" crap. If you haven't figured it out yet, I don't know what the **** to tell you. You approach every one of these debates as if there's no history or context to anything anyone's ever said before, like we have to go up to the chalkboard and analyze from first principles what someone really means. It's clear as day. It absolutely does not matter if Trump literally says the words "deport all brown people" when every action, every dog whistle, every "mass deportation" sign at a Trump rally, every rant about "good genes" and "purity" and "Western culture" make it painfully obvious what his administration intends to do (and is doing). If you don't think I'm credible because I'm angry, I don't ****ing care. I backup specific claims I make with links to sources all the time. If you can't tell the difference between me being upset that we're about to kill a bunch of people and me "demonstrably making **** up," that's your problem.

YES. Partly because in fact there is ZERO history of Trump "deporting all of the brown people" that is just totally counterfactual. Look at the 4 years HISTORY of this guy as president. How much mass campaign of ethnic cleansing and genocide will we find there? If anyone is approaching discussions of Trump as if there is no history in this thread it might just be you Lori.

Tragically you really do not seem to understand how much even superficially *seemingly* false claims about this man can undermine criticism in general against this guy.

Also, when you refer to Trump or the US being about to kill a bunch of people I hope it is in reference to the terrible deadly changes to healthcare and associated research planned by this administration because if your links are telling you he's about kill people for being brown that's drifting out into Q-anon levels of reality detachment.
