in the context of US Republican vs Democrat public lying? What is the difference that you wanted to draw attention to here? The Left lied about the fitness of their candidate to hold office. I'll give Biden himself a pass there since typically when losing mental faculties the patient can be the last to recognize it and to gauge its severity, but isn't the cover-up and bald faced lies by everyone around him about as severe as any of the Republican lies?

What especially disgusts me is when highly partisan people reply on highly partisan think tank studies or "fact checkers" to confirm for them that their favorite party lies less than their hated enemy party does. Definitively identifying lies when it comes to public statements is not easy in an ocean of half truths, cover-ups, and politically driven consensuses. you have to be very careful about who the "fact checkers are" and how they identify their "facts".

The funny bit is Trump's legal team will appeal this, hoping for a complete annulment of the sentence. This appeal may last longer than 4 years. Sometimes higher court will not only denign annulment, but will increase a sentence. Trump's hubrus could land him in jail yet!
