        In the US 04 July 1776 is celebrated. That was also basically when they entered a war (through an official declaration of independence) rather than celebrating the end of that war which came much later.

                    The UK has no national day. I guess that's what happens when you're the subjugator and not the subjugated.

                    Do get fireworks and a bonfire on November 5, in celebration of foiling the gunpowder treason. V for Vendetta kind of skews the narrative.
