I probably do still have the power to ban people for some reason, but that's not really my thing. The US was not in charge in Greece. The US turned a blind eye to non communist governments but it did not have a way to enforce orders on the junta.
When the junta stupidly moved to grab cyprus nobody was there to rescue them when Turkey escalated in response. L

First/second/third world are, historically, Cold War terms, referring respectively to the US and its allies, the USSR and its allies, and countries not allied with either of those two blocs (which tended to be poorer, developing countries, which is where the current meaning comes from).Click here if you're having trouble sleeping.
