A homosexual and sister is the same word in Greek, just in case your uneducated American masters do not know.

Now after all greetings to my Greek sister are over, I have to add that this thread is not only for a single Greek dummy, but for all of American dummies as well!

In this thread you can ask questions about the Soviet Russia, you have always been ashamed to ask!!!

      Democracy should rejoice!!!

To begin with the average cost of humburger in Russia is less than 1 USD.
Gas worth 0.4 USD per litter (1.82 per gallon) here.

But first of all, let's start with the basics, like a literacy rates!

USA: the literacy rate is 79% (which means, every fifth of Americans can't write their names or read their ballot. EVERY FIFTH!!!)

        https://www.crossrivertherapy.com/research/literacy-statistics#:~:text=Top%2010%20U.S.%20Literacy%20Ra te,older%20are%20illiterate%20in%202022.

Russia: the Russia's literacy rate is 99,7%, which means 0.03% of Russians are illiterate (comparing to 21% of Americans).

        Let's continue with tertiary education.

USA: As for 2022, 10.4% of population have a higher education, with means every tenth!
Russia: In Soviet Russia that number is 54%

Wich means , every second Russian has a higher education (and aside some of your top Universities, the evergage level of Russian education is way higher).

That brings us to the next question!

Your 10.4% number is either Russian state misinformation or a deliberate lie on your part. As of 2022, tertiary degrees are held by 50% of Americans and 56% of Russians according to Statista: https://www.statista.com/statistics/...nt-by-country/ .
You're like Trump -- even when there's no need to lie, you seem to enjoy doing so.

USA: Average payment for an education for a student living on campus at an in-state public 4-year institution is $27,146, out-of-state students pay $45,708 per year, private, nonprofit university students pay $58,628 per year!!!
Russia: Higher education is free of charge for the most of the people, but if you are dumb you will have to pay. The average cost of studying at Russian universities in 2024 for dummies is 2170 USD per year. We are talking only about bachelor's and full-time degree programs.

        Medicine:

USA: The average call of abulance is 450$
        Russia: Free of charge.

USA: You have to pay for any freaking visit to a doctor and can bankrupt or die, if you need a serious medical treatment.
Russia: Everything is free of charge.

One year ago I was implanted with an ICD free of charge, while in USA such medical operation varies from 25 000 - 80 000 USD.

And it is the same device (mine is German, though we started to produce our own now).

Ah, and the most important thing, when it comes to relationship between the employee and employer!

          A paid vacation!!!

          • #7
What is the time of paid vacation in two countries?

            USA: Zero!

Russia: 28 paid days per year MINIMUM!!! I got 35 when I was working for an oil company. The people leaving at North areas (which is a half of Russia) have 48 days of paid vacation every year minimum.

USA: There is no federal or state statutory minimum paid vacation or paid public holidays. Paid leave is at the discretion of the employers to their employees. According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, 77% of private employers offer paid vacation to their employees; full-time employees earn on average 10 vacation days after one year of service. Similarly, 77% of private employers give their employees paid time off during public holidays, on average 8 holidays per year. Some employers offer no vacation at all. The average number of paid vacation days offered by private employers is 10 days after 1 year of service, 14 days after 5 years, 17 days after 10 years, and 20 days after 20 years.

            Brainwashed clowns!

Speaking of one year of service... In Soviet Russia, when you serve for you company for over an year, you recive a "13th salary" at the end of the year. And it is not not just a single month salary, usually it varies from 3 to 5 of your monthly salaries. So, it is quite a bonus (but not the only one).
If you are a military man, who served to your country for a 20 years, you recive a flat equals to 18 square meter per every member of you family.
If you have been wounded during your service that term shortens to ten years.
That is why we don't have a homeless veterans, unlike USA.

              Sick time:

USA: Currently in the United States, federal law doesn’t guarantee workers a single paid day off, and many aren’t even entitled to unpaid time. The Center for American Progress presents a series of fact sheets explaining the three major types of laws that give workers rights in relation to workplace leave. This fact sheet addresses paid sick time laws.

              https://www.americanprogress.org/article/the-state-of-paid-sick-time-in-the-u-s-in-2023/#:~:text=Fourteen%20states%2C%20along%20with%20Was hington,Vermont%2C25%20and%20Washington%20state.

As far as I know there are NO ANY payments for a sickness in 32 States.
When it comes to the remaining 18 states, they provide a paid sick list depending to the time employee had worked, at 48 hours MAXIMUM!!!
That 48 hours equals to 20 years of working for company. Two freaking days, if you are sick and worked for your company for a 20 years! And if you didn't work for your company for 20 years, you paid sick list will be like ONE hour or something!

Russia: You have a 100% paid sick list for a 4 months maximum. Then you can work for 1 day and get another paid sick list for another 4 months. This is exactly what had happened to me. I was on a sick lust for a 4 months, then took my vacation for a 35 days, then took another sick list for another 4 months. Basically, I didn't work for nearly a year, but still received my 100% salary every month.
Because I was in deep sh!t

              and this a Socialism, baby!!!

And all that is possible because every month your employer pays a small percentahe of your income into the "Social fund". And it doesnt matter if it is a private or state employer. This is some kind of enforced by law, collective insurance.

All of the above is possible, because we have a Labor code, which regulates basic relationships between an employee and an employer.
                It sets the basic rules.

Every contract an employee signs with an employer is based on that codex and it doesn't matter if it is a private or a state enterprise you are working at, - every contract you sign is based on that codex, which protects your rights, and if your employer violates the Labor codex with his contract -

it is a Federal crime for your employer!

USA: You can fire anyone and anytime you like. Fk the trade unions!

Russia: You can fire only the one, who broke the codex and the contract, based on that codex.
If you do your job right, the employer just can't fire you no matter what. Let's say you are a bus driver, but your route suddenly became unprofitable and your emplyer closed it. He has to offer you another workplace by the law and just can't fire you! He can't fire you without providing an alternative for you.

Otherwise it is a Federal crime!

Basically you can fire you worker only, if he was absent at his workplace for a four hours (four hours is written in the labor codex).

You can't fire a pregnant person in any case!

You have to pay her salary for a 1.5 YEARS, and while she will be on a pregnancy list for a THREE YEARS, you have to keep her worplace for her and when she will return three years after YOU HAVE TO BRING HER BACK TO THE SAME POSITION!

Otherwise it is a federal crime!

No to mention she will recieve her usual salary from the employer for the first 1.5 years, she also get state subsidies for all 3 years, while she is on a sick list.

You can't fire a disabled person in ANY CASE!

I could have stayed at my job forever I wished to. And by the way, the workday for a disabled people is one hour less, which means a 35 hours work week instead of a standard 40 hours a week).

Otherwise it is a federal crime!

Every enterprise has a quota for disabled people, if you don't fulfill that quote you pay more taxes. So, every enterprise is interested to hire disabled people to the work they can do (No, Boeing, which hires imbeciles to make a planes is not the same case).

But on the positive - you can fire gays for all you like,

Because that it is not a federal crime!

Nobody here doesn't care if you are a gay or not, untill you start to show your fancy leather panties at public.

We just don't care and the codex doesn't give any preferences to homosexuals, transgenders and others guys with a feathers in their as$.

We are so backward in terms of gay advancement, but our words are backed with nuclear weapons!

And by the way, I have retired at age 46 and as a disabled person, I've got my pension both from the state (for 25 years of working and paying taxes) and my corporation (for working on them for seven years). Overall, my combined pension equals to 50% of my last salary.

USA: maternity leave - unpaid and maximum 3 month long.
Russia - maternity leave - paid for 3 years.

                Democracy:

USA: A freaking clownade of insane Altzgeimer elders. The "Democracy" where the dead can vote, where the someone can vote for you via postal votes, where you don't need a passport to vote and thus can vote as many times, as you like at many stations. Where the one candidate has been found guilty (but noone can axplain what crime he did commite) and son of another is guilty too (like father like son)

Russia: Consistently votes for the leader, who took the country, when it was on the brink of collapse in 1999, when it was 14th economy and made it the 4th economy in the World in 2024, despite all of you barking sanctions!

And I am sure that I forgot to tell you something more about my Soviet Socialist Russia, where I am happy to live.

Though, while I don't forget, I have to inform you about the most surprising and shocking news for you, that is Russia is WAY, I mean - WAY, more computerized than most of your Western states (no to mention a backward USA).

I pay 8 USD a month for an unlimited pre-5G access to the Internet everywhere on my phone (even, if I am at the small village in the middle of nowhere) and another 10 USD for a 100Mbs per second for my home Internet + 183 TV channels with an interactive video, which allows me to pause, rewind or see any show I have missed withing the last 14 days.

I can upgrade it to 500 Mbps or 890 Mbps for additional 3 dollars a month (but I don't need that, because the other ISP will have to make a new hole in my wall for a fiber cable).

I won't tell you that I don't need to wait in line for a doctor, because I have (as all the Russians) a gosuslugi (state services) application on my smartphone. This application allows you to recive ANY, once again - ANY state services you need, be it a visit to get your new driver licence, passport or any other document (you name it! There are hundreds of state services in this application).
All you have to do is to go at your phone and order a visit to a doctor for example, few seconds later you will get the date and time when you can get this service and take a service without any waiting in line.
