I had to send to my state of birth to get a duplicate birth certificate. They didn't require much proof of my identity which is kinda strange considering the birth certificate is the basis for proof of citizenship for other ID

I know people who had to get parents/etc involved, and it was a big hassle.

I got a duplicate at some point and it wasn't difficult. I think it might depend on your situation.

I hate anything that makes voting more onerous without making potential fraud more difficult.

That said, I couldn't care less about statistical correlates to projected uneven impacts on voter habits across various demographics. Voting is for individuals not groups. There should be zero burden on the government to establish zero effect on demographics of voting outcomes in relation to proposed legislation concerning voting. The sole concern should be ensuring that public interest could be served by the legislation.

pchang, the authors you linked repeatedly refer to harm to voters, but they don't cite any harms to individual voters. They also did not look to see if the proposals would discourage or prevent fraud.
