Apparently Majorie & Company aren't forcing Johnson to vacate because of a rumor that enough Republicans have threatened to resign if it happens, to throw the House to the Democrats; this is only a rumor, and Marge may only be stalling until she can ascertain the truth of the matter.

What's really interesting in all this is that if the House is thrown to the Democrats, it would be possible to pass a bill that would declare Trump an insurrectionist, which (according to the SCOTUS decision disallowing certain states from barring Trump from the ballot) would make it possible to bar Trump from the ballot in every state.

DLs are not analogous to rights, they are permission slips issued by the public to use public roads. We don't need DLs to drive on our own land.

Thats up to the voters, they own public land. Now I obviously don't care what the voters think given how many traffic violations I've committed over the decades both sober and not sober, but I still usually try to honor the spirit of the law and wont drive wasted any more.
