In 2016 Democrats (including Hillary) urged Trump's electors (some got death threats) to change their votes to her, I think at least one did. Trump was challenging a few states and apparently set up electors in case he won. Thats about the extent of my knowledge on the matter. I think the indictment claims he used fraud during that process.

In any case, in some states (not all), electors can be faithless.

In many states they can not (and I think more in 2020 than in 2016). Constitutionally, and in the federal government, fake or false electors are all illegal. Trump was setting up fake electors, not pushing electors to be faithless. There is a difference. This difference is legally important.

In 2016, there were 3 democratic votes for Colin Powell, 1 democratic vote for Faith Spotted Eagle, 1 democratic vote for Bernie Sanders, 1 republican vote for John Kasich and 1 republican vote for Ron Paul. So as you see, there were no democratic votes for Trump and no republican votes for Hillary.

While democratically, the notion of faithless electors is problematic, if faithless electors were legally allowed before the vote was taken place, then they are legally allowed.

The defense of faithless electors is that if something comes out so heinous that your partisans want someone else between the voting and the electors vote, then they should be able to make that decision. I agree that this defense is not democratic.

After 2020, I don't expect there to be any more faithless electors (in the classic sense) for a long time.

Judge releases 3 of the 4 Newburgh men sentenced to ~25 years for terrorism.

Back in 2010 the FBI lured a few men of questionable intellect, petty criminals, poor drug users or small time dealers, into committing terrorist acts - bombing Jewish synagogues, shooting stinger missiles at planes at the Newburgh airport. The FBI invented the plot, recruited the men with offers of wealth, and provided the (fake) weapons and targets.

Why did these men spend over a decade in prison when they were clearly entrapped?

Did the FBI people entrapping them get awarded and promoted?

Will they now be brought up on charges lol?

I think people who lie in court to send others to jail should serve the time their victims would have served.

The Ukrainians and Europeans in 2016-2018 said that Shokin was fired for not prosecuting corruption. The Democrats started saying that Shokin was fired for not prosecuting corruption, including investigating Burisma, in 2019 after associations against Joe Biden started surfacing.

When you have bunch of people repeating the same line, including at the time of the events, and people who have no interest in Joe Biden or covering up for Joe Biden (especially since at the time there was no accusation or expectation of an accusation... Joe seemed done with politics), then it is probably true.

Burisma and Biden decided to fire Shokin, the Ukrainians fired him to get a billion from Joe. Who made the decision if they didn't? What Ukrainian or European told Joe to bribe Ukraine to fire him? Shokin testified under oath the leader told him he was fired by Joe for investigating Burisma (contrary to the Democrat's narrative, Shokin was not only investigating Burisma he had raided their assets in Jan '16). Now who called for Shokin's firing with no interest in Joe Biden? Biden was already on Burisma's payroll in '15 before other people chimed in to support Biden (and/or Burisma).
