  • how I think the war on ukraine will end

it will go on foe years and years

russia will not win nor would ukraine get back all of its territory

when the west will agree that enough is enough and cut the life wire to ukraine, then there will be a truce

it is of no importance, ukraine, NATO has now so many borders with russia it's not even funny.

ukraine will be devastated kind of like syria which is like a skeleton country now.

however due to its proximity with europe and the importance the west attributes to it, once peace is settled the recontruction phase would be through the roof.

the big question is would democratic insitutions and practices be able to take hold there or would it reverst to a kind of quasie democracy like hungary or poland or where the right wing is slowly taking greece to?

What kind of changes are the right wing pushing for Greece?

they are controlling the media though immediate state subsidies and not collecting due taxes from said media

those media owners also take public work contracts

        the prefect storm

the world somehow thinks greece is immune to anti demcoratic principles

        I don't really care

let the greek people learn the hard way

on the matter of ukraine though they will be 100% with ukraine so you know in that regard I respect them

I don't want a "balanced" position when it comes to supporting democracy

I want a full on support for democracy

the left wing would be, maybe, a bit how should I say it, compromised in this matter

            but on what regards Greece,

they will be detrimental for democracy

but it is not thei r fault

it is our fault for not being abkle to convince the people of a viable serious alternative

never look for blame on others, only in yourself

I mean maybe I'll be accused of being a sentimental here

Italy has a pretty much fascist gov

Sweden the UBER social democratic state has freckign nazis on coalition

but that is the way I am

I want the best for Greece

Italy's fascist gov or sweden's nazi colaition

                or Greece's Trump's gov

have not yet been trasnlated to the kind of institutional demoicratic deficient states the likes of poland or hungary

but it is coming if we do not watch it

democracies run on legislative law and when this is hijacked, democracy is hijacked

anyway germany and france and places like portugal are the lighthouses

btw UK/USA are inferior by definition
don't pump up your chest thinking we are the real democracies

                  you are better than poland/hungary

                  worse than us

                  edit: not worse. on par

Unless Poles/Nato show up to fight I dont see how Ukraine can survive the year and I dont think Europe wants another winter depending on US energy. The growing influence of China will also cut short the neocon wish for a frozen conflict to replace the 8 year war in the Donbas. But Russia doesn't want a continuation of that war so demilitarizing Ukraine will be a top priority.

Europe is competely detached from russian energy

Europe is 100% self sufficent when it comes to russsian gas

Russia can dissparear, Europe will not blink, energy wise

Poles and baltics are fervent anti-russian but the whole of the west is suppluing urkaine and it will not stop

russia doesn't and never really stood a chance

Ukraine got all of our first day responce of invasion (against turkey)

Ukraine is loved by all of very strong militarily countries that have been giving it lots of weapons

we are not poles or balitcs, we don;t know what soviet supremacy means

but we do know what democracy means and we have a huge army

I'm left wing but that's what I hate about left wing

they say we should be "balanced"

I say we shou;d not be balanced when it comes to supporting democracy

                              there are many greek ukranians

                              they are not nazis

they are eastern euopeams growing up in Greece and loving democracy

                              come on
