I'd vote for Kennedy if I had to choose from the 2 tribes, he will bring our troops home and actually engage with the world peacefully. And thats why he wont get elected, the security state exists to engage with the world violently. They will either kill him or rig the election to make sure he has no chance, he's worse than Trump in their eyes.
Biden has done nothing but crap everywhere and he's cost me thousands in retirement savings. But he has always been a disaster, he spent a half century destroying black communities with his drug war. Thats how you know BLM is a fraud if it wasn't already obvious, they supported Biden knowing he was a main architect of the mass incarceration state they claim is racist.Comment

May not have a choice, Trump's VP could well be the GOP nominee in '28. I just dont think DeSantis is onboard with MAGA on trade and Ukraine. When asked about the latter he gave the same line about no blank checks, that still means checks. Trump needs to run on ending the war and leave DeSantis no wiggle room.

I suppose Biden has to announce regardless of the final decision, that will suppress the political circus surrounding wannabes declaring a run. I cant say Biden is much worse mentally, he's better off than that poor dude from Pennsylvania and apparently Feinstein is in bad shape. That puts Kamala and Newsom in a tough spot and allows non-establishment people like Kennedy a chance to build up steam.Comment

I had sort of hoped he would change, because I share some of your trepidation about Kamala (and I am concerned about Biden's age). But I think that he won', because it gives new lines of attack and signals weakness and may cause a fracture in the coalition. If there was another heir apparent, it could be changed, but even if I like Warnock or Whitmer, I don't think either has become an heir apparent.
