It's a strong anti inflammatory which in theory could lower your cancer risk by freeing up your immune system. In reality, just taking a tumeric supplement ain't gonna do ****.
sauerkraut (I dont like it) was recommended for the probiotics, I got Kimchi too. I was eating yogurt but read the good bacteria dont survive the stomach as well. What does the med diet offer for probiotics? Kefir and pickles?
these are sardines from the Norway region
I'm breaking my keto experiment, ate some carbs today. I'm a little worried about keto acidosis but I'm probably just getting paranoid.
Not entirely but I dont want keytones building up too high, I'm kinda new to this.
Dropped 10+ lbs easy in 8-10 days with the sardine challenge for the last 4-5 days without feeling hungry
they've developed a coating to protect the probiotics (I assume pill form) so more of it reaches the small intestine. The longer it takes to digest probiotics the less survives the stomach.
The bacterial make up in your gut reflects the diet you are eating. Probiotics, at best, will temporarily disrupt that balance. Then it returns to its previous state. The only way to actually change your gut flora is to change your diet.
I drank a lot of 0 sugar artificially sweetened soda (aspartame or something else) and it isn't good for the gut bacteria. I'm reading probiotics need regular intake

Good advice for most everyone I would think. Scares me to death thinking what's in my gut after reading this though. Sigh....
"I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you're not patriotic. We should stand up and say we are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration." - Hillary Clinton, 2003
Look for magic berry if you want to enjoy lemon juice more. It makes anything acidic taste sweet. I think they make a powder of it if you can't get it fresh.
Mistletoe for cancer? Apparently yes, the therapy costs $200-250 a month for ~3 injections a week. The FDA has not approved the treatment yet but you can still get it in the USA. It's undergoing clinical trials now, just completed phase 1 looking at proper dosing. Money is being raised privately for phases 2 & 3.
A woman had colon cancer that spread to her liver, they took out 20% of her liver, a chunk of her colon and 28 lymph nodes and her docs said she had an 8% chance of living 2 years. With nothing to lose she was referred to alternative medicine which got her into the mistletoe therapy. That was over 10 years ago.
I read another case study on a young man who had colon cancer. He went on a 21 day fast, just fluids. He also got 3 chemo treatments. The tumor shrank enough and was removed. He's cancer free now.
Do you have cancer? There's proof that meat eaters have a higher cancer rate("the china study" amongst others), but I don't believe there's any definitive study that says a plant based diet helps after you have cancer. But as you say, There are lots of case studies and smaller studies that point in that direction.
Not that I know, but I'm getting old and my gut is giving me trouble. I lose and gain weight depending on calorie intake so I dont think I have any tumors feeding on my diet. I've read IBS increases the chance for colon cancer. As for red meat, I think those studies look at all red meat and not specifically grass/pasture raised beef free of all the crap they inject into cows. Feed a cow corn and you feed on corn if you eat it. A study on ancient Indian corn showed they soaked corn cobs in some liquid that reduced harm. I need to get a colonoscopy this year because I lived on red and processed meat. I think the Mediterranean diet is the way to go long term.
I'm starting to feel relief from my stomach ailment, intermittent fasting and low carbs (and sardines) with probiotics is helping. I actually weigh about as much as I should given my age and height. But the gurgling and bloating have largely stopped.
