Anyone remember the Aphasic spambots we used to get? The ones that strung together random words into nonsensical sentences?I am not delusional! Now if you'll excuse me, i'm gonna go dance with the purple wombat who's playing show-tunes in my coffee cup!

ChatGPT Bot Passes US Law School Exam
(...)
"In writing essays, ChatGPT displayed a strong grasp of basic legal rules and had consistently solid organization and composition," the authors wrote.
But the bot "often struggled to spot issues when given an open-ended prompt, a core skill on law school exams".
Officials in New York and other jurisdictions have banned the use of ChatGPT in schools, but Choi suggested it could be a valuable teaching aide.
"Overall, ChatGPT wasn't a great law student acting alone," he wrote on Twitter.
"But we expect that collaborating with humans, language models like ChatGPT would be very useful to law students taking exams and to practicing lawyers."

So Microsoft is incorporating ChatGPT into Bing and are going after Google. The search engine wars may be what really brings AI into the mainstream!"I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you're not patriotic. We should stand up and say we are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration." - Hillary Clinton, 2003

So far, it looks like Microsoft may have the better AI at this point. Will be very interesting to see where this leads...."I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you're not patriotic. I wouldn't be so sure.
I was asking someone the other day well-known to be teh haxxor w/ teh 'puter powahs -certainly tends to know this kind of thing- what the name of the Bing web-crawler spider was. He didn't know, and you should find that a telling detail. He did volunteer that Bing is weaker than water.
See, I park in Who's Online here -and for 12 years now at AC2- and while I hardly spend every waking hour starting at the browsing lineup, I DO sometimes click on something a lurker's looking at, often enough it being a good read, or at AC2 refreshing my memory of a good read. -And I see searchbots browsing often enough. -And it had struck me that I'd never seen anything known to me to be from Bing, is why I asked in the first place. I see sometimes six or more of the googlebot at the same time - Baidu(Chinese) - Sogou(same) - but never (I finally googled it) "Bingbot", I swear, NEVER. Yeah, it's only AC2, but it rates for Google, Chinese Google and some Chinese also-ran. How does Bing even know anything about AC2? Does it google it? We ARE on there, though I never paid much attention, it only being Bing, which Bill Gates' mother doesn't use.
So CPT and that kinda thing is hot right now -seeing a little about it on the WLOS news- and what you say may happen - but credit Bing with no influence about anything. It's a joke, 'cause Microsoft gots to play Monopoly, or at least try.
