Mueller was under the impression the investigations into Trump launched before and after the 2016 election were kosher. That would color his interpretation of Trump's actions to rein in the investigation. If a jury heard how the FBI was lying to a fisa court to spy on Trump they'd understand why he was so adamant about getting rid of the people responsible, Comey, McCabe, Strzok, Page, etc. Trump had every justification to shut it all down on day 1 and prosecute these people.

What deeper corruption did Mueller find? Nada. So why obstruct nada? Trump was going after Obama's clown show of a justice dept and now we have Mueller, Horowitz and Durham to thank for exposing the truth. When Trump said they were spying on him, they were and they lied to the courts to do it.

I would assume that 5-20% of the US has always been extremist, just they were marginalized by the elite of the major parties in the past.

I thought we were discussing presence, not the quantum. That is to say, The ‘Nazi’ problem in Ukraine was the Azov battalion and similar groups - magnitude of a few thousand people IIRC. Those groups exist in some form in most countries. English Defence league, Proud Boys, etc.

Some groups also have political arms or sympathetic mainstream politicians. Discussions on the media that extremism exists in Ukraine does not equate to Ukraine is run by extremists was my point (in response to a perceived assertion that the two equate).

Not sure what your point is there. Western media also talked about proud boys and far right extremism in the United States, and how Trump would not disown them. I mention that because reading between the lines you seem to imply that the media think Ukraine had a Nazi in power problem because they talked about political extremism being present in a country..

Actually that was the subject of the articles, the growing power of the right wing after the 2014 coup and how it was the Nazis who were attacking protesters and 'separatists' who didn't accept their coup. As you can imagine this was a scandal in Israel when people found out their government was arming Ukrainian Nazis.

The AfD is at 10+ in the current Bundestag (elections 21). Has lost a bit compared to the prev. elections (IIRC down from 12+).
