And unlike your Hollywood lies, it's based on true event.
As well, as unlike your Western "Rambo style" crap, it's done with a deep respect to a foe!
It's realism, not a fkn Hollywood crap.

The slogan of the movie could have been "We fight versus the ones like us!"

And since it's a VERY action based, one doesn't need to know the language. There are very few words in the movie, but a lot of action. The plot is simple - yellow (Ukrainians) defends few buildings, white (Russians) have to capture the building #4 (the highest around) to make their forward observer coorditate an air-strike to a valuable target.

That is a pure action at most.

However, the last fight between two commanders needs and explanation.

It starts at:

And it starts with the yellow commander shouting:

- What's up, b!tch, out of ammo?

- Check it out, b!tch!

- Listen to me! Drop your weapons, rise your hands and crawl to me!!!

- To surrender to you now - is not why my Grandfather took the Berlin! F*ck you!!!

- Whatever you say!!!
...

Then the yellow one says:

- My Grandfather took the Berlin, as well!




That scene explains a lot of the tragedy of this war.
But, you will never understand it.
