Inflation is everywhere at the moment. Sure there are additional things each country has been doing or has not done to contribute to local inflation, but hard to assign it predominantly to non-global factors if it is in line with global trend. Surely?

And to clarify my meaning, if inflation were 6% or 10% instead of 8% if you had the other guy in charge, does it really make a difference? Inflation would still be too high. It seems people are binary blaming the guy at the top even though there is nothing they could do to meaningfully change the outcome.
Not contributing would be the argument, and I get that. But they aren’t being blamed for just the delta. They are blamed for it all. It seems.

A lot of our current inflation comes from the Payment Protection Program, which was implemented to maximize future inflation, and the trade wars initiated by Trump.
Some also is due to Biden and Obama.
A lot, probably the majority, is also due to outside factors (namely Russia and China's policies with respect to Ukraine and Covid, respectively).

The GOP is in denial, they should have cleaned up but the court threw abortion back to the states and that blunted a red wave. Gov Kelly here in Kansas edged out a pro-life conservative (again) and her vote total roughly aligns with the abortion amendment vote earlier this year.
I'll be a happy camper if the Republicans get a majority in the house, I'm expecting the Durham report soon and I dont want it getting buried.
Its gonna be a war between Trump and DeSantis and I think Trump is miscalculating his opponent's strength with the base. Trump could mock Jeb, Cruz and Rubio without hurting himself but DeSantis has broad appeal. I still think Trump will be the nominee if he runs but voters will want a Trump-DeSantis ticket.

I don't think you can blame the court for properly interpreting the Constitution. It is the Republican STANCE on abortion that hurt them. As long as that was a non-issue then it did not account in the voting. The simple fact is that the majority of the people want abortion in some form legal. Thats true - the GOP did it to themselves, but I think a valid constitutional argument can be made for abortion rights, privacy seems central to several amendments that are less important than the bodily autonomy of women on such a momentous issue and the Constitution doesn't recognize the unborn, just the born. If Roe missed anything it was allowing the government at any level interfering with abortion.
