To be fair, the staff had to be given notice as soon as it became apparent that their services would be redundant. At the moment Charles became king it was clear that Clarence House would close and he must move to Buckingham Palace as the befits the new monarch. The staff have been given several months notice and new jobs will be found for many.
The film follows a plot to assassinate the world leaders of the G7 as they attend the British Prime Minister's funeral in London and Secret Service agent Mike Banning's efforts to protect United States President Benjamin Asher from being killed by Islamic terrorists.
One day Canada will rule the world, and then we'll all be sorry.
It is ... and it is signified by a meteor (or piece of burning up space junk) which was seen last wednesday across the UK (and was especially well visible in scotland and northern ireland)

Only watched the similar "White House Down" thing, which was bad enough...
But at least he served ... which is more than anyone could say about the clown who was PotUS between from 1/2017 to 1/2021
Out of the many things I could say about the assclown-in-chief -- and rest assured, there are a GREAT many things -- lack of military service is one thing that I would never hold against him. The POTUS is a civilian post by design, and for good reason.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.
Heard an interview with Stephen Harper after the funeral today. He was quite pointed in how much the Queen's knowledge of world leaders had helped him make better and more informed decisions on Canada's behalf. An experienced Monarch's duty to advise her Prime Ministers is one of the great contributions of the crown (while the Prime Minister's ability to disregard any advice is one of the great contributions of Democracy).
