Pyrebound, which I spent two years serializing, is now revised and available in Kindle. Actual print books are a pain in the arse to format and the profit margin's worse, but I'll see if I can get around to it by and by; Kindle publishing seems to have some exciting new tools to make it less excruciating. Just in case anybody wants to know.

Pitch it to streaming services. They are always looking for source material.“It is no use trying to 'see through' first principles. If you see through everything, then everything is transparent. But a wholly transparent world is an invisible world. To 'see through' all things is the same as not to see.”
― C.S. Lewis, The Abolition of Man

It's a bit over 250K words, bigger than any individual LOTR book but smaller than the whole trilogy. It is not remotely like Narnia, if that's what you mean by "Christian themes." Characters drink, swear, fornicate (offscreen), brawl, and murder. Nobody inserts a stereotypical Christian moral in there. It was written by a Christian who's serious about his religion, but who doesn't like didacticism in fiction.Last edited by Elok; June 8, 2022, 08:38.

I just googled "Andre Norton." She apparently inspired Bujold and various other well-regarded names, so I guess it's a good thing.
This is not at all like TCOL, in world, format (it's not epistolary), plot, or tone. The main common element is that both feature deep worldbuilding, which is more or less a constant with my work. Thanks for giving it a chance.

She was the first woman SF Grandmaster, and wrote a lot of juveniles in the early eras. I think she wrote for 70+ years.
She is maybe best known for Witch World.
She was never my favorite author, but I liked her. The tone being so different, according to both you and Buster's Uncle, is what I was commenting on.

Is it available through Kindle unlimited?"I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you're not patriotic. We should stand up and say we are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration." - Hillary Clinton, 2003

No, sadly; KU requires exclusivity, which I couldn't give it; PB first ran as a serial, and I'm promoting it with another serial run on a second, larger site. If you want to try before you buy just click my sig; the version on wordpress is only a little less polished than the final version. Alternately, I've discovered that formatting technology has improved tremendously in the past few years, so a print edition should be available before the end of the month. That'll have to cost at least fourteen bucks, though, so I only mention it for completeness' sake.

Bumping just to keep self-promotions in view on the first page is normally obnoxious; however, in this case it might be a refreshing change of pace from all the Serbish Serbyness.
