    • It's the poor shooting the poor, and you're racist to conflate that with blackness.

-And it's the third racially-questionable thing you've posted this last week. You are dancing on a line you shouldn't want to, for a lot of reasons. Only warning.

      • Black on Black murder is significant. If you can't recognize and accept that, there's no reason to continue the conversation. Just a fact.

        • Yes it is significant.

What does that have to do with gun control or school shootings?

What people were calling MWHC on (before he threw his temper tantrum and edited all of his posts) is attributing that murder on them being black. Which is what racists love to do.

              Thanks for that update, N35t0r.

          • I'm so glad I'm not The Jester anymoar. I outgrew it moar than just a change, sort of like Dick Grayson becoming Nightwing from Robin.

I would post a video but I'm on my phone right now and its a pain in the ass. Thank you.

            • Gee... if only there was a way of preventing these shootings... mass shootings... how to stop mas shootings...
If only there was somewhere on earth where mass shootings weren't common, maybe there might be some hint... to stop mass shootings.
No... silly me. FARTS AND FLYERS.
A person of interest in the deadly Fourth of July parade shooting in suburban Chicago is in custody after brief chase, police say.

              • Clearly the parade didn't have enough guns

I think it was a problem with the roof. The shooter used a rooftop to shoot from. Rooves (or roofs) should be made illegal.

Clearly there is a problem. I daresay that it lies more with society than guns, but your sarcasm appears to be well founded.

Well, yeah, a society that thinks that being able to have as many guns as possible and that any kind of regulation on control on this is the worse thing that could ever happen most certainly has a problem.

What problem would that be all knowing one?

It is how society handles its tools that defines if it is a problem or not. A Gun is nothing more than a tool. Guns have always been prevalent here, but have not been associated with the problems we see them involved in until fairly recently in our history. The problem is what has happened with society. It may be that a society such as ours has become is no longer capable of utilizing this tool. It is truly a sad state of affairs from any angle however.

Sure you can describe it that way, but you could say the same about cars, and we regulate them all the time in various ways, from their tech specs, their security aspects, to who can drive them (otherwise we wouldn't need licenses), how you need to behave in traffic etc etc.

                          This is reductive bullcrap.

Cars are tools. Weapons are tools. Drugs are tools. Property rights are tools. Hell, even war and genocide are tools. It's a dumb argument: guns are a tool designed for killing.

The "we've always had guns" arguments is also reductionally simplistic. Over the last ~50 years the amount of households with guns went from ~50% to ~30%, and yet in the same period the amount of guns per Capita went from ~0.5 to 1.2.

                          Guns are a problem.
