Dude. By rights Ukraine should have been wiped off the map in 3 days from 22FEB2022 to 25FEB2022. Ukraine had enormous disadvantages and Russia had enormous advantages. Yes Serb, Ukraine's continued existence as a state a year later is an astonishing success.

So?

Do you honestly know the reasons for that?

a) They are as stubborn as Russians.
b) They are indoctrinated with the Nazi ideology.
c) They are supplied/trained by 50 NATO countries.

putin knows that would be the end of russia. but this is not about Ukraine. this about US vs Russia. Ukraine, too bad for them, is the battlefield.. complete withdrawal of Russian armed forces from Ukraine would be the best outcome for russia. but this would prevent Putin from toppling Kyiv’s government and establishing a puppet regime. in the end as MWHC sees it - determination and skill of the Ukrainian resistance forces a stalemate on the battlefield that favors the defenders. putin knows this. the question is - when will he accept this. he will with time. he has no choice.

Did Russian state televsion show hours of breathless coverage of shells striking the Donbass? HTF does any amount of such footage prove the Ukrainians decided the best time to pointlessly target civilians in the Donbas would be when Russia had amassed the largest invasion force over their borders since ww2? Whatever bull**** you saw on TV was bull**** designed to make you complacent about the invasion that was about to occur. It had nothing to do with anything Ukraine would do. How can you explain the timing otherwise?

I wonder if they are applying any sort of quick upgrade package or if they are just being sent as RPG fodder? I doubt ukraine will waste modern anti tank systems on t‐62s.

Even now I can't see ruling out the possibility. Ukraine's astonishing success is based on a huge variety of lucky breaks, fragile strengths and unreliable advantages.

Indeed keeping the war going, and hoping that support for Ukraine dries up seems to be their game now.

On the ground they don't seem to learn much from previous mistakes tho. Recently they reported a gain of 2km in four days as some kind of an improvement. This would be 500m/day on average. In other words with human wave attacks and arty barrages Russia is basically reenacting WW I

Otoh mechanized assaults like that one recently at Vuledar ended in heavy losses, even Pro-Russian commentators are saying this.
