Actually, I'm feeling optimistic about Trump's tenure vis a vis Ukraine, for several reasons.

First, as evidenced by his relationship with Kim, even if he "likes" someone, if he doesn't get what he wants, he will walk away and never look back, as what happened during the "peace talks" he tried to broker between North and South Korea (he cut negotiations short and left Kim at the table). Given what he's said about his Ukraine peace plans, one can easily see Putin reacting badly, with Trump responding in kind.

Second, Russian state media apparently aired nude photos of Melania on television while reporting Trump's re-election.

    ...so yeah, there's that.

You said that Ukrainian troops in Kursk would be obliterated, and the front in the east would collapse, yet there are still Ukrainian troops in Kursk, and the front in the east has not been moving any faster than before.

Your definition of 'literally all' makes me seriously wonder what they call an education there in Wales.

Incendiary devices that ignited in Germany and the United Kingdom in July were part of a covert Russian operation, the Wall Street Journal reports. The Kremlin has denied the allegations.

Google is probably playing the long game, because eventually Russia will owe Google a dollar

    (1) The fine is growing $1 + $2 + $4 + $8 + ... = $X
    (2) Rearrange (1) to $2 +$4 + $8 + .... = $X - $1
    (3) Double (1) and the fine would grow $2 + $4 + $8 + ... = 2 * $X
    (4) Combine (2) and (3) to get 2 * $X = $X - $1 or rearranged $X = -$1.

So Google will be owed $1 by Russia.

PS. Don't let mathematical rigor ruin this.

At some point (next year, I think?), the fine will start doubling every day.

    I mean, why not?

No, it's been converted to dollars. It's also the Chessboard and Rice story made real, since the fine (for blocking certain Russian propaganda channels on YouTube) started out as 100,000 rubles in 2020 and, in accordance with Russian law, has doubled every week since then.

Given the fine is roubles, are we sure it's not like US$50?

Google has been fined 2.6 decillion dollars.

    ...

    By Russia.

    ...

    So that's a thing.

A decillion is a trillion trillion trillion.

World GDP is around 111 trillion dollars.

Russia is just getting sillier every day.
