Finnish police have arrested Russian ultra-nationalist Yan Petrovsky, the Finnish television channel MTV3 reported on Friday.

A leader of neo-Nazi paramilitary group “Task Force Rusich,” Petrovsky is wanted in Ukraine on suspicion of committing war crimes in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions in 2014–2015. According to MTV3, Kyiv has already requested Petrovsky’s extradition.

You know, I am an engineer in a field of telecommunications, now called an IT. I was a deputy chief of the unit and had 13 engineers under my command. Moreover, I was a specialist, which took master-classes for the engineers across all Russia. I've teached people how to work with optical multiplexors to send signals at unprecedented speed and unprecedented distance. That was not my first main job in any case, I was just teaching a group of 8 engineers twice a year and thus in summary had 56 students overall.
But, every lecture I have started had the same introduction - the picture of the first telephone of 1876, comparison to the optical multiplexer in a class room and a question about what is common between the first phone, the modern optical multiplexer and a decibel?
And nobody ever had answered this question right.
And the answer to that is all of these are tied by the name Alexander Graham Bell. He was Scottish, who migrated to USA, invented the telephone and whose name was immortalized by the Bell unit or a decibel (1/10 of the Bell) and who founded Northern Telecom, later known Ciena and who did many other things like founding a National Geographic for example.
He was a pioneer of telephone communications and his main achievment is that he basically created a telephone network acress the American continent and a telephone line between USA nad Europe.
I've told more about him at every lecture, but always with admiration.
Why do I tell you that Berz?
Because I am an engineer and admire other engineer achivments. And America was a land of brilliant engineers! Trully brilliant engineers!!!
