I heard they barely had a functioning army in 2014, which is how the Russians walked in and took Crimea, and they've been playing desperate catch-up ever since. First off - I guess that is an admission that the enclave belongs to Ukraine. Your lies are conflictinig.

To answer your hypothetical - If the Americans were locked in a conflict with American breakaway states that contained large numbers of Canadians (I'm not sure how that would be possible since they would likely have US citizenship) I wouldn't be advocating an invasion to liberate American citizens. Accepting refugees would be the more likely outcome.

More broadly, I'd have to wonder how we ever possibly got to that sort of relationship with the US. You see, unlike Russia, the US isn't in the habit of attacking their "friends". Our two countries have not fought since before Canada was Canada.
