Concert Memories and Lack of Same

I've never been to a concert or music festival. Been to a block party in Chicago and was subjected to a free Gordon Lightfoot show (in Florida I think) as he was performing on hotel grounds within earshot of my room.

So, on a related topic, I used to tour a lot as an actor.

One actress I worked with and still am friends with likes to tell a story about a show we did together in the late '80s/early 90s in Regina, Canada. Several mutual friends of ours remember our work together on the show, and how well we worked together.

Problem is, I didn't do any shows in Regina in the late '80s/early '90s, and first met this actress in Edmonton in the mid '90s, when we were in a production of a different show...

I did originate the role in the play she talks about (in the 1989) in Winnipeg, with a different actress playing the part she later played.

But she tells a nice story, where I come off looking good, and others remember us working on the show, so I've never corrected her.

So this isn't exactly misremembering a single concert, more like a 3 week run with 2-3 weeks of rehearsals.

A lot of people have Mandela Effect type stories.

There is a trip that I remembered pretty well. My mother and brother insisted it never happened, very strongly.

A couple of years ago, we ran into a couple of pictures of it... my mother was very quiet. We haven't talked about it since, and since we found the pictures of it my memories of the trip have grown very cloudy.

(I firsts ran into this name for it due to thinking that Sinbad played a Genie and then discovering that a lot of other people also remembered that... the memory is now cloudy so I assume that it is a better example of the Mandela Effect than the trip.)

Since I married, and especially since I had kids, my memories of the before times have grown very cloudy. I am not sure why.
