Yes, we appropriated your great culture. The woke idiots think that's bad, but they carry that privilege.

Nothing impressive but the racial slurs.

The Crusade of 1197 is instructive as it was lead by Henry IV of the Holy Roman Empire against the Muslims but traveled through Constantinople. There "the Emperor of the Germans was greeted and was welcomed with much honor by the Emperor of the Greeks".

The Bzyantines did declare themselves the Eastern Romans mostly to maintain long gone claims on western Roman lands but were effectively a Greek Empire run by Greeks and dominated by Greeks. There were other ethnic peoples in the empire but everyone knew who was in charge.

Byzantium was a greek city, a colony of another greek city.

It was filled with greeks from Greece and remained greek until after evil turks captured it.

BTW Byzantium was renamed Constantinople and as the capital of the Byzantine Empire which became an essentially a greek empire.

The Byzantine Labarum Symbol or "Chi Rho" is actually a spiritual curse symbol. It is no surprise they used it as a battle standard.

I hate to break it to the Greek apologists in this thread, but "Constantinople" is not a part of Greece.

I hate to break it to you that it's also not part of modern Greece.
