I was reminded that the states/schools really need that money to be able to have schools open. Which is really important for kids and parents and the future of the US.

I am guessing that the shift from giving money to people below 75/150k to people below 50/100k might be the only good compromise available.

It wasn't lefties who stormed your capital as part of an armed insurrection against your government.

That was a riot and nothing else. Congratulations Republics 1 riot, Dems and the far left hundreds upon hundreds of riots. Yes, the numbers do not lie. One side is a massively bigger and far worse problem with political violence and extremism and it isn't the one you seem to think.

One side threatened our nation and system of government, and came within minutes of capturing (After threatening to kill) the leaders of our nation (excepting the one who incited them). I am not going to call it the Republicans because many of the targets of the mob were Republicans... but some of the Republicans do side with the mob and the mob was mostly made up of people who are Republicans or support Republicans.

The other side has not, to my knowledge, ever threatened any leaders of our nation. They have not attacked either the state capitals or the national capital. They have not threatened to, the worse they did was threaten a court house in a minor city. Generally the individuals who attacked the court house and who rioted in towns/cities (and so hurt businesses, there was no attack on government) were not Democrats.

Your claims of equivalence is a betrayal of your oath. You did not swear to defend Target or even the federal courthouse in Portland. You swore to defend the Constitution which includes the peaceful transition of power and the democratic actions (free of violence or coercion) of our national lawmakers.

JM, you are being sold a bunch of lies and propaganda. One guy on the internet days before wrote something stupid, he will be held accountable for that. There was never any direct endangerment for Pence not least of all because he had four secret service agents armed with semiautomatic handguns. Furthermore, Dems have literally done nothing but lie and exaggerate in a cynical attempt to gain partisan political advantage, know when you are getting laid. For example, AOC has repeatedly lied claiming her life was some how in danger even though now we all know she was half a mile away in an entirely different heavily guarded building. The low IQ woman is just a denigrate liar and her propaganda lies actually do far more damage to the nation than the rioters who were bad enough.

The fact is, yes,, one riot by fringe Republicans was bad,, but the hundreds upon hundreds of other violent politically motivated terrorist attacks and riots by left wing extremists is measurably worse. That you keep trying to deny that basic truth shows just how far your vision has gotten skewed here, my friend. You really shouldn't minimize or excuse that terrorism just because it comes from the side you like.

Most of my positions from 2008 are exactly the same. In 2008 they were mostly the same as the Obama campaign's stated positions and were reflected in the Democratic party's official platform for 2008. Go ahead and look at the 2020 Democratic Party platform or at Biden's stated positions. The dems have gone extremely hard left compared to then while Republicans are the ones who have moved left on a number of issues (think gay marriage).
