They said that people shouldn't be offensive to terrorists (I didn't actually read the NYT article). So they said that, in response to her being beheaded. Do they think people shouldn't go to church because that's offensive to terrorists? I think so. But we're talking about victim blamers. We don't know exactly what they are thinking.

How is that "victim blaming" when you say they're blaming someone other than the victim? And can you give some examples of the press saying "this wouldn't have happened if people weren't offending muslims"?

I'm just responding to BE saying that the NYTs saying that people shouldn't offend terrorists in response to a terrorist act. That's victim blaming, which is the effects of terrorism. It's the same as rape. The rapist is malicious evil. The victim blamers are moron evil. The morons aren't conscious that they are doing evil but it's all part of the evil.

Kidiot likes it when someone from a recognizable group attacks, kills and mutilates someone from another recognizable group. Keep his world spinning. I'm sure he's really excited about what will happen in the US next week!

I did use a somewhat provocative title that I got inspied bhy charlie hebdo which did write the title "according to aglosaxon media there is no islamic fundamentalism" pointing to articles (including that one fron new york times) that focused on the offensive nature of the cartoons and the allegedly difficult position of macron (I think he streamrolled on lepen myself) but fail to address the problem of islamic fundamentalism.

It is a big issue but I think that laicite is in the center of freedom of expression (even the press) and it is very hardcore implemented in france

Well, if they report that a Muslim in France beheaded someone because of Muhammad cartoons, I think a reader can reasonably infer that Islamic fundamentalism exists in France.

Well of course but from what I gathered the articles were no more no less saying: there was a reaction due to someone being offensive, meaning that the blame was on the offensive nature of the incident and not in the fact that there are some people from some religion who freak out if ink is wrongly positioned on paper and so they cut people heads off.

To make an educated analysis we'll have to read the articles in question which means that I'd have to go and find them but honestly I can't be arsed right now, no offense
