Your goal seems to be a utopian godless society. I don't really know why you consider that a good, but imo it isn't achievable because of human nature. You kind of get to that, but I want to add something. There is no utopia. It isn't achievable by human beings, since human beings are imperfect. They aren't going to become perfect either. Society doesn't even progress, as Hegelian philosophy predicts. So that being said, a God fearing society is best because God fearing people are more socially responsible and produce more social good. In fact, any society that isn't God fearing becomes God hating and self-destructs. But while it does it creates God-like things to substitute for God.
