  • VAT tax

Starting July we get a reduced VAT tax for a limited period (IIRC one year).

I dunno if this will have the desired effect on the economy battered by teh virus, but I for one intend to take full advantage of it.

My plan is to simply buy lotsa stuff. Since VAT gets reduced I'll save a ton of money, so basically the more I buy, the richer I get.

They should replace it with a RAS tax.

You should create some companies to buy a whole load of goods, say carousels. Create a whole load of intra-company invoices at midnight on the day before the VAT is dropped. Record no VAT on all sales, and record VAT as paid on all purchases. Reclaim the input VAT and don’t pay the output VAT.

Do that enough times and you can get free room and meals at your local penitentiary.
One day Canada will rule the world, and then we'll all be sorry.

This advice is so great that it's huge. It should get its own chapter in the next edition of "The Art of the Deal" by the Sun Tzu of economics.

Oh, I committed an unspeakable faux pas in the op it seems, added "tax" to VAT

Without the "tax" I would have assumed you had a large container that was being made smaller. I could see how that might stimulate you to go buy another vat to store any excess liquids.
