    • Economics professor Joseph E. Stiglitz, who received a Nobel Prize in Economics, explains how Trump has basically sold out the exact crowd he claims to protect.

      Non college graduate white men.

      Looking at the data

      1) 4:40 - he notes in the US, there is a a declining life expectancy, because of suicide, drugs, alcoholism -- all deaths of despair when people have lost hope

      2) 17:20 - He says the data reminds him of when the Soviet Union fell

      3) 46:00 - You can blame all of this as intentional efforts of Republicans to drive down wages of unskilled workers to break the labor unions, supporting oligarchical businesses.

You saw this with attacks on teacher's unions as well, had nothing to do with improving education, it was all about breaking political blocks.

So for any of you in this category and still think Republicans or Trump give a damn about you, I got news for you: YOU ARE BEING USED

What a bunch of nonsense. Wages were finally going after 8 years of Democrats in the WH. The USSR collapsed because their oil production collapsed. Energy production exploded until the crash, which isn't Trump's fault at all. The teacher's unions are almost as bad as the media. Charter schools are what will save education, which is sick with the cancer of liberalism.

      Try Thomas Sowell next time.

        • Republicans hate teachers' unions because teachers are a kind of class enemy where the GOP is concerned; they think of public school as a place their kids go to be taught to despise their parents' beliefs. The economics of the question is pretty much an afterthought and it has little or nothing to do with their attitude towards labor unions more broadly.

The impression I get WRT labor unions (though I don't know much about economics) is that they've been dying for a long time. Whether the GOP back then had a lot to do with that I also don't know (my guess: probably they did), but Trump has only been a thing for the last four years so it doesn't seem reasonable to pin death of the unions on him. The graphs in post 305 appear to show stagnation, more or less, under Trump, assuming I'm reading them right. Also for decades before Trump, as measured by one statistic which (again, if I'm reading it right) refers to purchasing power adjusted for inflation (?) and probably doesn't have a lot to do with the president in power. More of a systemic rot thing. The number did go down and struggle back up under Obama, but that clearly lines up with the recession and the dude barely got into office when that hit so whyTF would you blame him for that.

          In conclusion: KAAAAAAANYEEEEEEE woo

We definitely didn't see stagnation under Trump until oil crashed and the virus hit. You need to look at much more than what Striker is showing you but I just want to talk about the teachers union.

The teachers union is the worst kind of union, because education is so important. Society as a whole depends on education. The union loves to talk only about Christians opposing them because of cultural issues, because they know that secularists and anti-Christians will have an emotional reaction to that and think supporting the teachers union is standing up for oppressed people.

The truth is different though. The teachers union is more responsible for the failure of the education system than any other entity. They don't want you to look at that, so they love to talk about Christians like Kanye West. But Kanye is right about the educational system keeping black people in a kind of mental slavery. And they do that for their own economic benefit. Nothing would benefit the black community more than politically destroying the teachers union. Charter schools are a success, and the teachers union is lying about that to maintain their control over the system and brainwash people.

              1) Failed a dementia test
              2) Paramilitary assaulting US Citizens, including mothers and a Navy veteran
              3) Endorsed the co-leader of an underage sex-trafficking ring
              4) Ordering children to school to die

            • So I need someone to explain how the government ordering people to wear masks in a health crisis is tyranny, but the government, under presidential orders, snatching unarmed American citizens off the streets in unmarked vans isn't tyranny.

              • I'll have a crack. If someone compels YOU to do something against your will, that's tyranny. If they compel someone you disagree with or have no sympathy for to do something against their will, that's strong leadership.

The same basic argument applies to when it's ok to act unlawfully.

You're just using words that you think make it sound bad, but I'd like to know how long people have to wear a mask in places with low rates of positivity like most of the US. If it doesn't make sense then it's tyranny. The lockdown is more tyrannical than the mask law because it's doing more harm.

Not sure he failed, I think he passed? But however, if my ground-breaking research is correct it was this extremly challenging test to prove that he's a stable genius:

Apply for and manage the VA benefits and services you’ve earned as a Veteran, Servicemember, or family member—like health care, disability, education, and more.

He claims he passed. Going with the Trump Rules, whatever he says is usually the opposite. When he actually tells the truth, it's a surprise.

                • Chris Wallace bragged about passing the easier online version.
