The problem stems from defining "anything of value" as political dirt. Yes, dirt has value, but the law is talking about cash, campaign contributions imo. If it includes dirt then Clinton violated the law multiple times by soliciting dirt from both foreign nationals and at least one government (Ukraine). I wouldn't be surprised if the Ukrainians were giving the Dems kickbacks on the aid they were getting.
