  • Would Obama be nominated in 2020?

Most likely yes. But Biden isn't the Obama of this cycle. That person is Tulsi.

If he hadn’t already been President, Yes. Obama would have won in 2016 too.

None of the candidates this time or last have that sort of charisma or message.

Perhaps. But very unlikely to break through, especially since she did not qualify for tonight's debate.
That puts 10 Dem candidates above her.

I think there is a good argument that you need to be in the top 3 or 5 to really have a chance.

Yeah, Biden-Sanders-Warren are the 3 big dogs, followed by Buttigieg and Booker. Then (maybe), Kamala Harris and Beto O'Rourke.

The only other candidate in the top 10 with a different enough message to perhaps gain more traction is Andrew Yang. Mock his policies all you want; Yang's presence has been a breath of fresh air and he's obviously a very smart guy. Very impressive that he has come from outside politics and gotten this far.

Klobuchar and Castro are basically running for VP at this point.

I like Booker better than Harris, but it is interesting that you put his odds above hers.

Is Buttigieg or Booker the second Moderate candidate? Do you think that Warren is acceptable to the Establishment?

            No. The E wants Harris.

It seems unlikely if he had the same positions he had in 2008. Dems really have moved far to the left since then.

The same could be said about every Dem candidate. Well, except Bernie.

I don't think going with a 78 year old is a good idea.

Kamala hated Trump the most. But to was the most afraid of white men and guns.
