    Lots of messenger services.
Even ICQ is more confidential than the data kraken Facebook (as there is no connection to your real name)

So claiming they are the most influential progressive outlet on Facebook seems rather absurd.

Bear in mind Facebook tends to hide page posts from most users, even those who follow the page, even those who tag it “see first”, in an attempt to force pages to pay to extend reach. So outside stuff that goes viral, those that have high numbers are basically buying views by advertising on Facebook.
The meme that I was referring to, and that Tim Pool talks about in the video, got 38k retweets if I remember correctly. Users can choose to see any page they want first. Maybe they hide it when you try to share it.

But it's certainly influencial because it's the most popular for Democrats. About half of Democrats now make judgements solely on what they see on stuff like what's on that page. This is why cable news and news outlets like the NYTIMES are catering to this group. It's mostly younger Democrats, the kind that grew up in the schools and colleges the way they are now, not the older generation. However, there are many older Democrats that follow too.

I wouldn't think this is not influence just because it's kind of anti-intellectual like Info Wars.

Looking at their post linked to, the one that seems to have accounted for a huge portion of their activity in 2015, it’s not what I would call progressive. It’s “stand by France, like they stood by us on 9/11” after the terrorist attack in Paris. It’s well designed to get shares and comments, appeals to most non-crazy people.
Yeah, they can get a lot of moderates to like their page.

There are better and more confidential ways to communicate.

In fact I have neither my friends nor members of my family in my facebook contacts, despite the fact that some of them are on facebook as well
I don't really care about them tailoring ads. It's kind of creepy but oh well. I have a lot of friends that I would never talk to unless they say something on Facebook and I see it. That's just the way I am. I wish more people were like you though. Facebook is so powerful that it's scary.

Facebook isn't the source. You get sources on your news feed. Plus they do fact check now. I don't know if they check left wing fake news though as I'm not likely to see any.

38k shares is just a little compared to the one linked, which got over a million. The reality is no one liking their page because of that post is making a left/right statement. If you look at their political posts, they have less reach than at least hundreds of thousands if not millions of individuals who are vloggers and bloggers.

Vloggers and bloggers are on Facebook. I think they are included. They don't get anywhere near the traffic.

One thing that I like when I look at their page is that they defend Comey, Brennan and Clapper, but they get relatively few likes when they do.

Just looking at their posts today I see many have ~5k shares. One is from Patheos.com which misrepresents Christians to make them look extreme.

He committed fraud against the FISA court. He tried to blackmail the President. He tried to get the President removed from office. He's covering up.

Well trying to remove Trump from office is fine as long as they do it legally

Video blogs are a different thing. You're missing the point. Occupy Ds beats out news sites like CNN etc... It gets more traffic than all of them. There is nothing comparable to that for Rs. Fox News gets the most traffic for Rs.
