Again, standard operating procedures for law enforcement
They don't have to tell the truth
And this is a fact
You can whine all you want but it doesn't change the actual facts here
So thanks for playing...Keep on Civin'

I'm not... what you are talking about is intrapment
And that's not the case here...
It's simple, they asked him questions and he lied. He could have told the truth but he didn't
What they did was legal, what he did wasn'tKeep on Civin'

In criminal law, entrapment is a practice whereby a law enforcement agent induces a person to commit a criminal offense that the person would have otherwise been unlikely or unwilling to commit.[1] It "is the conception and planning of an offense by an officer, and his procurement of its commission by one who would not have perpetrated it except for the trickery, persuasion or fraud of the officer."[2]I drank beer. Well first you interview them for a crime that is never prosecuted and tell them that they don't have anything to worry about. Then you tell them that they don't need a lawyer that will tell them that something is fishy.
Beyond that we don't know what actually happened during the interview yet, but Congress does.
-
Still, it should be standard for people to tell the truth during an interview in a criminal investigation. No matter whether they are told that you don't have anything to worry about or not.
Telling you that you don't have anything to worry doesn't even come close to being an equivalent of "lie to me"
-
You don't have to tell them anything. You should have a lawyer there with you. The lawyer will generally tell you not to say anything.
It's only a crime to lie to the FBI because they investigate federal crimes. It is very unethical to charge someone with lying to the FBI just because they lied to the FBI. Everyone in the FBI knows that.

They can get people to commit crimes, but it depends on the circumstance. They can get a drug dealer to sell drugs, but they have a legitimate reason to do that. Flynn is a good guy. He wasn't a criminal. They got a 30 year veteran to commit a crime and then they charged him. They made him go bankrupt. They ruined his reputation. They put him through emotional hell.I drank beer. HE LIED... That's a crime
It was his choice to lie... HE DIDN'T HAVE TO
He was unethical by lying, not the FBI who was asking him questions
